Root Canal Treatment

Root canal therapy is a common dental treatment helps repair and save a tooth that has been severely decayed or infected.

This procedure is done when the tooth's nerve becomes infected or the pulp, which contains nerves and blood vessels, is damaged.

Root Canal Treatment

Root canal treatment saves infected or damaged teeth by repairing and preserving them, preventing the need for extraction.

There are several situations where Root Canal Treatment is recommended, such as:

  • Dental abscess

  • Severe fracture in tooth

  • Deep cavities

  • Severe tooth sensitivity or pain

Typically, root canal treatment can be completed in one or two appointments. Following the procedure, the tooth may be tender for a few days which can be taken care of by prescribed painkillers.

If either of these symptoms occur, it is important to contact your dentist or endodontist. Although the tooth is not protected against other types of damage, such as cavities or gum disease, it can last as long as your other teeth with proper care and regular dental visits.
